The Children's Ministry Easter Presentation 2008

The following videos are part of the Easter presentation of the Children's Ministry of Lift Jesus Higher Church.

The first one is dancing to Hillsong Kids song - "Let Your Light Shine", it was really wonderful to see the children perform and cooperating with the teachers.

The next one is the song "One Way" which is a different interpretation of Hillsong Kids, it is a little up beat than the original.

I would like to thank the teachers and especially the children for giving their best in this performances. They were a joy to watch.

I pray that the children will be able to explore their talents to the best of their abilities. Remember that knowing your talents and purpose in life is what measures success in God's term.

God bless you!

Easter Sunday Celebration 2008

Here are some video excerpts of the Easter Sunday Celebrations of Lift Jesus Higher Church. It was really a very happy day not only for us but all of Christianity in remembering our Lord Jesus and what He did.

Below is Pastor Fernando sharing insights based on the Bible readings for the day.

It is really inspiring that people who have the same love for Jesus get together in listening to His teachings and applying it to our everyday lives.

Children's Week And Church Service Highlights

It was once again Children's week, this is done every third Sunday of the month. The children together with the teacher who is going to act as emcee will start the designated program for the service.

Part of the program is sharing what God has done to your life the whole week or what He wants us to learn from the experiences we encounter. Making the right decisions in the process because we learned to listen to Him. The above photo is of Sister Jenny sharing her experiences.

The above is a highlight during praise and worship together with the tambourine team. I am going to post some video excerpts of the church service in the coming weeks.

We also did some practice for the presentation next week, March 23. We hope and pray that it all goes well because we want to do the best that we can.

God bless you!

Review On Lesson 4 And Dance Practice

Last Sunday, Teacher Anne reviewed the children on what they learned on Lesson 4 - The Truth About God's Plan For Me. They also shared insights on what they want to be when they grow-up. There were future pastors, doctors, nurses, policemen, soldiers and teachers.

I told them that what is important is to do everything to the best of your abilities and for God's glory. Even if you are just washing the dishes, do it with joy, don't get angry with your parents. In time you will thank them with the household chores you do. What you learn during your childhood is what you will bring when you grow-up.

I learned that it is not the amount of money you have that will measure success. Many have attained money and position but some are still sad or searching for something. I would rather have wealth that cannot be stolen and most of all to be able to fulfill my purpose in life.

We are really happy listening to the children share their stories and I am also thankful for their time to listen to us.

We also did some dance practice because the children will present on the upcoming Easter Sunday celebrations this coming March 23.
