Get Together For The Month Of April

It is the last Sunday of the month and after the service a simple sharing of what each has brought.

Below is a picture of Pastor Fernando and his wife Pastora Ranie which incidentally is also their 17th wedding anniversary. They have three children namely, Faith, Thia and TJ.

We pray more blessings for both of you and to remember,"that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." Philippians 1:6

I personally am grateful to God to have known you and to be part of the ministry, contributing together with you.

Youth Ministry In The Outdoors

Not wanting to be confined inside the building at all times, the Youth Ministry of Lift Jesus Higher Church went to experience the outdoors for their fellowship. This was done last April 6.

They chose to go to a remote area that is part of Angono, Rizal which is near to one of its golf courses. This gave them more closeness to share with each other their faith in God and through their Bible readings.

It is a good sight to see the younger generation touched by God and having the right kind of attitude that will make them better Christians.

"Let us not become weary of doing good for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers."
Galatians 6:9-10

Lesson 7 - Honesty Pleases God

Note: The lessons were taken from the Truth and Honesty Teachers Manual of Voice Philippines.

Values Voice - "I will not cheat or steal."

Teacher Chame taught the lesson that honesty pleases God. She started by leaving plates with candies on the boys and girls side. At a certain time Teacher Chame will count how many candies remain, if their is nothing missing then the children will be praised.

This shows that in life their are a lot of temptations that can lead someone to be dishonest. Sometimes we think no one sees what we do but this is not true. God knows what is happening in your life.

The Bible story was taken from Luke 19: 1-10. This is the story of Zacchaeus, a government employee at that time, who cheated and stole from the people. At that time, Jesus was passing by and people heard that He was there, they wanted to see Jesus and so did Zacchaeus.

Zacchaeus climbed a tree to have a better view. Jesus reached where Zacchaeus was and asked to visit his home. Zacchaeus gladly took Jesus home and announced a very important decision. He will return money to those he had cheated and give money to the poor. Jesus was pleased that Zacchaeus changed. Jesus told the people that Zacchaeus has done the right thing.

Also, we must remember the eight commandment - "You must not steal" (Exodus 20:15 Living Bible).

"I want God to help me to be always honest. I do not want to cheat and steal."

The Children In A Dance Presentation

It's the third week of the month and the children have prepared a dance presentation with the song titled - "This Is The Day" by Hillsong Kids.

We will be starting our practices for the next presentation - Mother's Day. Praying for wisdom on what to do on this very special day.

This week is a review of Lesson 6 - Honesty Is Essential, we had the children share what they have learned.

We are happy with the class participation of the children in the lessons. We hope and pray that they will be able to apply these lessons in their lives.

Regular activities done by the Youth Ministry consists of weekly meetings for their spiritual growth and camaraderie. Also, preparation for their presentations during church activities.
