The Sonicflood Concert - A Different Experience

I thank God that I was able to attend this event though it was really raining hard that evening. I was blessed to be able to watch it for free because of my friend who has yet again was not able to attend the concert because of unavoidable circumstances created mostly by the rain.

The concert didn't start on time because most of the people had a hard time to get to the venue because of the weather that evening, August 15 to be exact. I was not really going to attend but an opportunity arose and I had to jump on it.

I want to especially mention an incident this time though when I come to think of it was pretty embarrassing but hey God works in mysterious ways. When you attend a concert at the Araneta Coliseum, you have to remember the rules and regulations, no food and drinks allowed, there is a no re-entry policy this means when you go inside you won't be able to go outside because when you do so you have to pay again to enter.

I have to wait for my companions to get their tickets on the side gate of the General Admission entrance. There are four of us who will be attending, two went in to save seats and do the waiting which included me, so the two remaining I have to wait to give the tickets.

Through the waiting time I got to meet someone who was also waiting for his friend. We got to chat a little, his friend was arriving at any moment and so was mine. The problem was mine was having problems with parking because he had no cash at that time, he was asking me to come down, the problem was the no re-entry policy.

As the friend of my new found friend arrived, I asked the favor to help me in passing the money to that person in the parking lot so that he can still attend the concert and without really thinking or any hesitation that person really helped me (even if it was really late and it the concert was already in the middle part). He went down to the parking lot and handed the money. I am really thankful to both of these people, God bless you!

It was really a nice experience, to once again sing together with other people to praise and worship God. I am not really familiar with Sonicflood but hearing them talk about Jesus and sharing how the lead singer accepted Him was a very humbling experience. It pushes me to know Christ more in a more deeper personal level.

Again, thank you!

Lesson Review 2 - Truth & Honesty Series

This is the second week review for the closing of our lesson theme "Truth & Honesty". Teacher Ann started it with a game to give an energy boost to the children.

She also gave the children some information that uses colors to describe it. This is the truths that the lessons want to impart.

"Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."
John 8:32

Truth #1 (YELLOW) - God is holy and must punish sin.

Truth #2 (BLACK) - We have sinned and we will be punished.

As it is written: "There is no one righteous, not even one."
Romans 3:10

Truth #3 (RED) - Jesus took our sin and our punishment.

"For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance:
that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures."
1 Corinthians 15:3

Honesty (WHITE) - We must honestly admit we need Jesus
to rescue us.

"An evil man is trapped by his sinful talk, but a righteous man escapes trouble." Proverbs 12:13

This is the last week for this series, we will be finishing with the answering of the forms in order to know how much the kids have learned.
